1. Simple Glass Railing
Before we deep dive into further design variations, let us consider this first and very basic option in terms of glass railing. Here the marble steps are combined with sharped edged glass panels - no frames, no borders, no combination.

2. Glass with Multiple Cables
Here the glass sheets are clamped together and then further combined with running steel cables which are varying in sizes. Both of them act as handrails but the top one very smartly also provides frame/protection to the panels

3. Bolted Clear Sheets
Here is another sleek design option when making railings for your staircase. Thin glass sheets are bolted to the foot of steps with their ends being polished from the top. Glass with wooden color looks absolutely fantastic in this setting. Though the stairs are small, the glass panels make them appear a bit more spacious.

4. With Aluminium Frame
Maybe this one is the most popular design amongst Indian infrastructure including commercial, office spaces, shops, etc. Glass sheets are protected by these aluminum handrails part from providing the framework to fix the sheets. Very simple, basic, and safe design.

5. With Running Hand Rail
Well, there is a major set of people who prefers to keep one hand on the railing while walking up or down the staircase. Especially for kids and older people, it is more of a safety precaution. Having just a glass railing might look great but won’t be high on this function. Thus, simply installing a running hand-rail, be it steel or aluminum can solve this challenge for good.
